Raised loft boarding — the technical bit
Raised loft legs (typically 175mm or 220mm) screw into the joists and carry tongue-and-groove loft boards above the insulation. This protects the thermal performance of your loft while still giving you a flat, walkable, well-supported storage platform. We can board out a single zone around the hatch, or the entire safely accessible loft footprint.
- Survey to confirm joist spacing & headroom
- Insulation topped up to 270mm if needed
- Raised loft legs fixed to joists
- T&G boards screwed down, joints staggered
